Multi-Engine Rating

Requirements

There is no Transport Canada Study and Reference Guide for this course, as there is no written exam. Knowledge of multi-engine theory and practical application of performance charts will be tested during the flight test. Your instructor will provide reading assignments to prepare you.

This rating does not have any experience or knowledge requirements. It is based on achieving the standard only.

The holder of a multi-engine rating may operate non-high-performance multi-engine aeroplanes as endorsed on their licence.

Skills

An applicant for a multi-engine class rating shall complete a flight test to the standard outlined in the Flight Test Standard, Multi-Engine Class Rating, (TP219) available at: http://www.tc.gc.ca/civilaviation/general/flttrain/Planes/menu.htm.
